The 6-Month Mentorship

The Transformation

From Captive to Creator

You don't have to have anything figured out to begin. This is the road we'll walk together — six months, one honest step at a time. Before you start, walk it once with your eyes.

The journey

The first half goes down and in — waking up, seeing clearly, letting go. The second half comes up and out — healing, becoming, and being sent.

Like a pendulum: it swings back as far as it swung out. However far down this has taken you is exactly how far up it can carry you. Your lowest place is not the end of your story. It's the position the whole rescue depends on.

Movement One

Awakening

Weeks 1–4 · “Who told you?”

The first month is about waking up — gently. No fixing yet, no performing. We build trust, tell the truth about where you actually are, and you begin to see there's a different way to live than the one you've been surviving.

By the end of this month You'll have words for the ache you could never name, and a first taste of a God who is far better than the one you were handed.
Week 1

The Alarm

We name what's really going on — the tiredness, the searching, the ache — out loud and without shame. And you'll see from the start: this is a relationship, not a program.

This week’s reading The Light

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn't overcome it.”John 1:5
Sit with this
What made you finally say yes — and what are you tired of carrying?
What begins to shift
The relief of finally telling the truth about where you are.
Week 2

Who Told You?

Every cage starts with a voice we believed. We trace it back to the first lie you were ever told about yourself.

This week’s reading Who Told You · Shame & the Inner Critic

“Who told you that you were naked?”Genesis 3:11
Sit with this
Whose voice have you been trusting?
What begins to shift
You start hearing the inner critic as a voice with a source — not as simple fact.
Week 3

The Source and the Reflection

The world hands you a backwards reflection of God's truth about love, worth, and success. You'll learn to spot the inversion and turn it back around.

This week’s reading The Source and the Reflection

“…they worshiped and served the creation rather than the Creator.”Romans 1:25
Sit with this
Where have you been drinking from wells that never satisfy?
What begins to shift
You catch yourself reaching for the reflection — and stop, mid-reach.
Week 4

Unmatched

You can't move toward a God you've misread. You'll meet Him as He truly is — not the disappointed father or the cosmic scorekeeper you learned to fear.

This week’s reading Unmatched · The Heart of God

“To whom then will you compare me, that I should be like him?”Isaiah 40:25
Sit with this
Is the God you've been afraid of the real one?
What begins to shift
The picture of God running quietly in your background starts to change.
Movement Two

The Cage

Weeks 5–9 · Seeing the false self

Now we go deeper, and it gets honest. We look at the self you built to survive, where it came from, and what it has cost you. This is the descent — and it's safe, because you're not walking it alone.

By the end of this month You'll see the cage clearly, maybe for the first time — and understand that hitting the bottom isn't the end. It's the exact position the rescue depends on.
Week 5

The Masks

The self you built to survive is not the self God made. We meet the mask gently — it once kept you safe — then admit it's become the cage.

This week’s reading The Empty Summit

“I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”Psalm 139:14
Sit with this
Who are you when absolutely no one is watching?
What begins to shift
You feel the difference between the face you show and the one underneath.
Week 6

The Deception

We expose the lies that have been running your life in the dark — the ones so old they feel like facts.

This week’s reading The Lies That Run Us · The Ultimate Deception

“You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”John 8:32
Sit with this
What lie has cost you the most?
What begins to shift
You catch a lie in the act — and for once, you don't believe it.
Week 7

The Roots

Where the voices came from — family, faith, old wounds. We honor your story without staying captive to it.

This week’s reading What You Inherited

“When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up.”Psalm 27:10
Sit with this
What did you have to become to be loved?
What begins to shift
The tangle starts to make sense — and it stops feeling like all your fault.
Week 8

Numb

Coping, numbing, and control are how we manage pain instead of healing it. We name your medicine so it loses its grip.

This week’s reading The Hungry Heart · The Nervous System

“…they have forsaken me, the spring of living waters, and cut out cisterns.”Jeremiah 2:13
Sit with this
What have you been medicating?
What begins to shift
You start noticing the urge to numb before it wins.
Week 9

The Bottom, and the Pendulum

However far this swung you out is how far it can swing you back. The bottom isn't where the story ends — it's the position everything good is about to be built on.

This week’s reading The Way Home

“Where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly.”Romans 5:20
Sit with this
Are you ready to stop managing and start surrendering?
What begins to shift
The bottom stops feeling like defeat and starts feeling like ground to push off from.
Movement Three

The Cross

Weeks 10–13 · Surrender and the turn

This is the turning point — where the direction of your life changes. Not by trying harder, but by an encounter with the One who already did the hard part.

By the end of this month You'll have laid down what was never yours to carry, met the One who carried what was, and felt the strange relief of no longer having to run the show.
Week 10

The Turn

The encounter that changes direction — being met by Christ on the road you're already on, and finding you don't have to keep white-knuckling your way forward.

This week’s reading Damascus

“Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”Acts 9:4
Sit with this
What would it mean to stop running the show?
What begins to shift
For the first time, letting go feels like an option instead of a threat.
Week 11

Forsaken, for You

He bore the forsakenness so you never would. This isn't abandonment — it's someone taking your place. You'll practice receiving a love you didn't and couldn't earn.

This week’s reading Forsaken, for You · Hands Down

“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”Matthew 27:46
Sit with this
Can you let yourself be that loved?
What begins to shift
The exhausting math of earning love quietly stops adding up.
Week 12

Which Cross Is Yours?

You'll set down the crosses that were never yours to carry — and pick up the one that is. Freedom isn't carrying nothing; it's finally carrying the right thing.

This week’s reading Which Cross Is Yours?

“My yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”Matthew 11:30
Sit with this
What have you been carrying that was never yours?
What begins to shift
Your shoulders drop. You feel how much of the weight was never assigned to you.
Week 13

Surrender by Design

You were built to depend. Surrender isn't weakness or collapse — it's the original design finally working the way it was meant to.

This week’s reading Dependence by Design

“…apart from me you can do nothing.”John 15:5
Sit with this
Where is God inviting you to let go of the wheel?
What begins to shift
Leaning starts to feel like strength instead of failure.
Movement Four

The Well

Weeks 14–18 · Healing the heart

The healing half begins. Your emotions were never the enemy — they're signals you were taught to ignore. Here you learn to feel again, on purpose, with God right in it.

By the end of this month You'll be able to name what you feel, grieve what you lost, forgive what held you, and love the people around you without carrying them.
Week 14

The Thirst

Everyone is drinking from something. You'll meet Jesus at the well of your real thirst — the need underneath the want.

This week’s reading Journey to the Well

“…the water that I will give him will become…a well of water springing up to eternal life.”John 4:14
Sit with this
What are you actually thirsty for?
What begins to shift
You stop confusing what you want with what you actually need.
Week 15

Naming

You can't heal what you can't name. Learning to feel and name your emotions is a spiritual discipline — and this is where the Yada app becomes a daily companion.

This week’s reading The Ground Floor of EQ

“Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us.”Psalm 62:8
Sit with this
What do your emotions know that your logic won't admit?
What begins to shift
Feelings stop being a flood and start being information you can read.
Week 16

Holy Anger, Honest Grief

The “negative” emotions have holy jobs. Anger guards what's valuable; grief honors what was lost. Stuffing them was never godliness.

This week’s reading Grief & Unmet Needs

“Be angry, and don't sin.”Ephesians 4:26
Sit with this
What has your anger been protecting? What have you never let yourself grieve?
What begins to shift
The pressure you've carried for years finally has somewhere to go.
Week 17

Forgiveness

Forgiveness releases you, not them. The cross is what makes it possible — you forgive from fullness, not by pretending it didn't happen.

This week’s reading Journey to the Well

“…forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any.”Colossians 3:13
Sit with this
Who are you still paying rent to inside your own head?
What begins to shift
A weight you'd stopped noticing lifts — and you feel lighter than you expected.
Week 18

Let Them Rise

You'll learn to love people without carrying them. Real help builds capacity; over-helping keeps everyone small. Boundaries turn out to be an act of love.

This week’s reading Let Them Rise

“…each man will bear his own burden.”Galatians 6:5
Sit with this
Where has your “help” been keeping someone — or you — from rising?
What begins to shift
You can care deeply and still put down a burden that was never yours.
Movement Five

The Creator

Weeks 19–23 · New identity, the four pillars

This is the ascent — the part you couldn't have handled at the start. You'll discover who you actually are, and start living from it instead of striving for it.

By the end of this month You'll be living from a new identity — tasting real joy, adventure, connection, and oneness, not as rewards you earned but as the life you were made for.
Week 19

Captive → Creator

Not a better version of the captive — someone new. And the power isn't yours; it's His, working through you. You create because the Creator lives in you.

This week’s reading Who You Are in Him

“…Christ in you, the hope of glory.”Colossians 1:27
Sit with this
If the old story was never true, who does that make you?
What begins to shift
You catch yourself acting out of who you are instead of who you feared you were.
Week 20

Nothing Left to Become

You already are — so you can stop earning and start overflowing. The great reversal: be, then do, then have — instead of chasing it in the wrong order your whole life.

This week’s reading Nothing Left to Become

“…that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.”John 10:10
Sit with this
What would you do if you had nothing left to prove?
What begins to shift
The frantic engine underneath your life quiets down.
Week 21

Joy & Adventure

The transformed life isn't grim duty — it's joy and holy adventure walked with God. You'll reclaim play, desire, and wonder as gifts, not distractions.

This week’s reading The Campfire · Already on the Way

“…the joy of Yahweh is your strength.”Nehemiah 8:10
Sit with this
When did you last feel fully alive — and why did it stop?
What begins to shift
Something in you that had gone quiet starts to come back to life.
Week 22

Connection

You were made to be known — by God and by safe people. The loneliness under all that competence is a signal, not a flaw.

This week’s reading Relational Intelligence

“…if we walk in the light…we have fellowship with one another.”1 John 1:7
Sit with this
Who actually knows you — the real you?
What begins to shift
You let one person in a little further, and the world doesn't end.
Week 23

Oneness

Union, not just relationship. Abiding becomes a way of living instead of an event — you learn to live from God's presence rather than striving for it.

This week’s reading Electromagnetic Ketchup

“…that they may be one, even as we are one.”John 17:22
Sit with this
What changes when you finally know you're not alone in it?
What begins to shift
You stop performing for a presence you already have.
Movement Six

Sent

Weeks 24–26 · Living it, and giving it

The last month is about carrying all of this into real life — your relationships, your rhythms, and then outward, to the people still stuck where you used to be.

By the end Transformation shows up in your closest relationships, settles into a sustainable way of life, and turns outward — your story becomes someone else's hope.
Week 24

Bring It Home

You'll carry the transformation into your closest relationships — learning to relate as a whole person instead of two halves clinging, and to repair instead of rupture.

This week’s reading Meeting at the Well

“…a man will…be joined to his wife, and they will be one flesh.”Genesis 2:24
Sit with this
How does who you're becoming change how you love?
What begins to shift
The people closest to you start to feel the change before you explain it.
Week 25

Living as a Creator

We weave the whole journey together and build the rhythms that make it last well past six months — so this becomes your new normal, not a season you look back on.

This week’s reading Living It · Self-Leadership

“…if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.”2 Corinthians 5:17
Sit with this
What's your new normal — and how will you protect it?
What begins to shift
You realize you're not white-knuckling the change anymore. It's just who you are.
Week 26

Sent

Freely you received; freely you give. The depth of your rescue becomes the height of someone else's hope. You're no longer the end of this story — you're a doorway out of it.

This week’s reading From Captive to Creator

“…who comforts us…that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction.”2 Corinthians 1:4
Sit with this
Who's still in the cage you now know how to walk out of?
What begins to shift
Your mess becomes your message — and you finally see what it was all for.

This whole journey rests on one truth: the power was never yours to manufacture. It's His, at work in you, for what He allows. You don't become a creator by trying harder — you become one because the Creator has come to live in you.

You've seen the road.

Now let's walk it together.
